I am passionate about education and criminal justice, and the pursuit of success. My educational pursuits include a doctorate (Ph.D) in Educational Leadership, Ed.S in Educational Leadership, MA in Criminal Justice, BS in Computer Science and Business Management, AA in Business, and a Professional Educators License. I have completed 25 plus hours of training in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), a member of the Southern Criminal Justice Association, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society - Kappa Delta Epsilon.
I taught public and private school from 2004-2010 in the capacity as a paraprofessional and teacher, and taught students with disabilities. I also taught students who were sent to an alternative school environment for 90-120 days for substance disorder treatment and restorative justice mandates. I have served as an Instructional Facilitator and an Interventionist Consultant Specialist in education. My life goal is to develop the kind of research material that will assist families to help their loved ones through life’s challenges. My motto is "never give up regardless of the tests and trials I face". I understand and believe that nothing good comes easy in life, and it is important to work hard. I also believe that if you never had to work hard to succeed, you would never learn to appreciate anything or anyone or have the desire and/or motivation to accomplish anything.
Having to work through and overcome many life obstacles and health challenges, I've learned to press in when the pain and discomfort tries to break me, or when life rips at me. I have chosen that in God's strength, I can speak life to an otherwise difficult situation. Therefore, I am a fighter, defeater, victor, chosen and empowered. This means that when stuff looks strange and I can't see my way out, I choose to still believe that I will survive, I will overcome, I will conquer, I have victory, I am favored and I am authorized and enabled to stand in the face of adversity. It is my hope that the information provided will motivate and empower each person to thrive and succeed in their journey. Many times it seems easier said that done and sometimes it's easy to say I can't, but it is so much more empowering and rewarding when you try, then try again and each time you will say --I can!
My Personal Motto is "I REFUSE to give up! "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
